Picture of Rebecca WhiteSenior Vice President Rebecca White is running for the electorate of Lyons.  As most of you would know through Young Labor Bec is practical and hard-working.  She was born and raised in Lyons and she’s built her own home there.  Currently in Tasmania young people are unrepresented at all level of Government and Bec represents a new generation of Labor candidates.  As Young Labor it is important we get behind one of our own.  For more information about Bec please visit www.becwhite.com.   If you would like to get involved in Bec’s campaign please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Picture of Stuart BensonIt gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Tasmanian Young Labor Website.  Here you will find what Young Labor does and what we stand for.

Tasmanian Young Labor is the voice of young people within the party and we are constantly challenging the views of the senior party.  At this year’s senior ALP party conference, Young Labor got motions passed including support for same-sex marriage, abolishment of youth wages, a charter of rights for Tasmania, support for a republic  and motions against the deregulation of universities and the publishing of league tables.

Young Labor has many events happening through the year including meetings, quiz nights, cocktail nights, parliament tours and community service.

I urge all of you interested in progressive politics to join Young Labor.

Stuart Benson
President of Tasmanian Young Labor
